Labib Demian Youssef & Co. (LDY CO) has equipped laboratories in Egypt since 1962. Founded in Cairo by Labib Demian Youssef and now run by the second generation, the company is the authorized agent for 12 global instrument brands and serves 500+ active labs across Egypt and the GCC from offices in Cairo and Dubai.

HBS designed and built LDY's new corporate website at ldy-co.com: a modern, industry-led site that puts six decades of heritage, a world-class partner portfolio, and a full after-sales offer in front of lab managers, and turns that trust into quote requests.

Business Goals

• Present LDY as the established, trusted authority in laboratory instruments, with 64+ years of proof behind it.

• Show the strength of the partner portfolio: METTLER TOLEDO, BUCHI, KNF, CARBOLITE GERO, LOVIBOND, HAAG-STREIT, KEELER, BUEHLER, and more.

• Help visitors from seven different industries find the solutions relevant to their lab fast.

• Make clear that LDY sells more than equipment: installation, training, compliance, and consulting.

• Generate qualified quote requests and specialist conversations across Egypt and the GCC.

The Challenge

LDY's buyers are QC managers, researchers, and lab directors across very different sectors, from pharma and petrochemicals to ophthalmic clinics and universities. Each one needs to see their own world reflected, while the company also has a long history, a dozen international brands, a broad services offer, and a regional expansion to communicate. The brief was to bring all of that together into one clear, credible, conversion-focused experience without overwhelming a technical audience.

An image-led grid for Pharma, Plastic, Petrochemical, Food & Feed, Academia, Ophthalmic, and Testing Labs, each leading to its own industry page, so every visitor starts from their own field, not a generic catalog.

An interactive "Six decades of partnership" timeline, from the 1962 founding through partnerships with Mettler Toledo, Hermle, Buchi, Fistreem, Integra, and Normalab, the new Mohandessin HQ, and the 2023 Dubai office for GCC expansion.

5) Lifecycle Services & a Clear Process

Six service cards (Installation & Warranty, Training & Support, Regulatory Compliance, Safety Consulting, Testing Services, and Process Consulting) and a simple three-step Request → Develop → Install flow ending in a "Start a request" call to action.
