LDY: From 284 to 31,330 Google Impressions in 30 Days
Labib Demian Youssef & Co. (LDY CO)
The Challenge
LDY has equipped laboratories in Egypt since 1962 and is the authorized agent for 12 global instrument brands, including METTLER TOLEDO and BUCHI. Its old WordPress site had been hacked: on 24 July 2026 Google's index still held 16,067 pages for the domain, most of them left over from the hacked site. In the 30 days from 28 July to 26 August 2026 the site earned only 284 impressions and 25 clicks, all of them to the homepage. No product page received a single click.
Our Solution
HBS replaced the hacked site with a new Next.js website connected to a dashboard where LDY's marketing team manages brands and products. Every product model got its own page with a clear title, its own meta description, a self-referencing canonical tag and Product structured data. Old WordPress paths now return 403, planted spam paths return 404, and a clean sitemap was submitted on 3 August 2026. We then followed the Page indexing and Performance reports as the old pages left Google's index.
The Results
Comparing the 30 days before the index clean-up took effect (28 July to 26 August 2026) with the 30 days after it (31 August to 29 September 2026): impressions rose from 284 to 31,330, clicks from 25 to 198, and search queries with impressions from 15 to 487. Queries ranking in the top 10 went from 7 to 235. Product pages now take most of the clicks instead of the homepage. All figures come from LDY's own Google Search Console account.
